Kolkata: Bengal is in the grip of cold with the temperature gradually decreasing.
On December 31, the temperature was 14.8 degrees, which on January 1 was 17.5 degrees.
The temperature on January 2 is 16.3 degrees.
Early in the morning, parts of Kolkata had mist or fog that reduced visibility. The minimum temperature slid by a degree to 16.3. The day’s maximum temperature on Sunday was 25.2 degrees. The water vapor content of air is 65 to 90 percent, said the Met office.
More light rainfall is forecast in the next 48 hours. In the morning there will be dense fog and reduced visibility. Clear skies will be seen later. Even if there is a feeling of winter, the conditions of winter will not be visible for the time being. The weather will be like this for the first week of the year.
