Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 caseload rose to 16,843 with detection of a fresh case of infection in the last 24 hours.

The new case reported from Lower Dibang Valley is a CRPF personnel who had returned from Maharashtra. The patient is asymtomatic, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

With this, active cases in the state rose to two.

According to the bulletin, the recovery tally remained at 16,785 as no patient was discharged in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate is over 99 percent.

Death toll stood at 56.
