Lunglei: Lunglei High Powered Committee Vice-Chairman Lawmawma Tochhawng Weednesd at inaugurated Special Handloom Expo Lunglei 2021 at Venglai Community Hall, Lunglei. Organized by the Mizoram Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation Ltd.(ZOHANDCO), the Expo will be held for a period of three days – (March 24-26, 2021). Weavers and artisans from different parts of the state have come together at the Expo, and have put up 31 stalls in total.Â
Speaking at the inauguration, the HPC Vice-Chairman stressed the importance of handloom and handicraft as a means of preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Mizoram.
Thanking the Mizoram Handloom & Handicraft Development Corporation Ltd.(ZOHANDCO) for their efforts in promoting the traditional handicrafts of Mizoram, the HPC Vice Chairman urged the artisans to explore and adopt certain modern techniques to enhance their productivity without compromising on the quality of their products
