Mamit: Mamit District Civil Supplies Office and District Consumer Organisation jointly organised Consumer Awareness Campaign at Mamit Chhimveng Hall Thursday with DC Mamit, Dr Lalrozama, as the chief guest.
Dr Lalrozama said that knowledge with respect to consumer affairs and dealings is important as all of us are consumers. Even a shopkeeper needs to buy other items which he does not sell in his shop. All dealers of various goods items should take a keen interest in keeping the records of the manufactured date and expiry date of their consumer goods items before selling to their customer as mandated by the law, reiterated Lalrozama in his speech.
H Lalramliana, Vice-President, MDCO presented various rights and privileges enjoyed by consumers in the programme. Lalthanmawia, DCSO Mamit Chaired the programme and Laldawngzela, Junior Account Officer, Mamit proposed a vote of thanks before ending the awareness programme.
