Mumbai: The number of people suffering from Dementia is likely to go up to a staggering 14 million from around 5.3 million at present in India by the calendar year 2050, according to the findings.
This observation was made during the discussion on Fire Side Chat hosted by Anvayaa, India’s first and only IoT and AI tech-based start-up platform providing companionship and care to the elders, on World Alzheimer’s Day on Wednesday.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common factor causing dementia, which is generally associated with aging; however, it does not occur naturally, a release issued here stated.
