Manipur’s Covid active cases come down to 149 Tuesday

Altogether, 446 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 4.0 %.

Imphal: 18 persons from the general population tested Covid positive in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday in Manipur. During the same period, 25 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 18 persons who tested positive, five each are from Imphal West and Imphal East, two each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul and one each from Bishnupur, Kakching, Senapati and Pherzawl. Altogether, 446 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 4.0 %.

Meanwhile, 25 persons recovered, 22 from home isolation, two from Jnims and one from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.36 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 537 of which 1, 37,245 have recovered leaving 149 active cases in the state.

As on August 15, 2022, 44 D-type oxygen cylinders and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 16, 2022, are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which eight are occupied and 30 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which seven are occupied and 55 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 15, is 247, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,45,312 (1st dose 16,23,321, 2nd dose 12,94,400) and precautionary dose is 2,27,591.
