Moga/Chandigarh: Raising the voices of the farmers and exposing the anti-people face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government, Captain Amarinder Singh and the Badals, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and Member of Parliament, Bhagwant Mann said they are in collusion with each other, had betrayed and suppressed the people by adopting various manoeuvres.

Bhagwant Mann, who addressed three Jan Sabhas at Moga district on Sunday, slammed PM Modi for selling the nation. Addressing the gathering, Mann said PM Modi keeps telling the people that he used to sell tea at the railway station and now, as a Prime Minister, he is selling the nation. He said Modi has sold everything the nation has and only agriculture is left.

“However, looking at this as an opportunity, PM Modi now wants to sell agriculture as well. The corporate giants who bought this nation are exploiting the people with their high prices. Now by selling farmers’ land; Modi is planning to exploit the farmers as well,” he added.

Further, taking a dig at Captain Amarinder Singh and the Badals, Bhagwant Mann said Captain and the Badals had never supported the farmers. He said they had always, together, worked against the interests of the farmers. “Both, Captain and Badals, unanimously passed the Contract Farming Act that made the farmers of the state bonded labour. They unanimously passed the APMC Amendment Act that privatized the markets of vegetables and fruits,” he said.
