Imphal: Kakching police personnel arrested four people including three women and seized a huge amount of suspected heroin no. 4 from their possession on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as (1) Lamvah Haokip (38), w/o Onthong Haokip of S P. Saichang, Molnoi Tengnoupal, (2) Letkhogin Haokip (18) S/o Onthong Haokip of S P. Saichang, Molnoi Tengnoupal, (3) Ch. Nemneikim Mate (43), W/o Ch. Chunglet Mate of Khonomphai Village, Tengnoupal and (4) Nengneichong Haokip (37) W/o Paongan Haokip of Zalenphai Part-1, Morch ward no. 1, Tengnoupal.
The accused persons were arrested from Pallel CDO check-post, said an official of Manipur police department.
Around 610 gram of Heroin powder no 4 and one Wagon R vehicle bearing registration No. MNO2A/4499 were also seized from their possession.
The arrested persons along with the seized articles were handed over to Kakching Police Station for taking up further necessary legal action.
