Noney: As part of laying of foundation stone and distribution of various schemes/projects under the 100 days action plan by the Government of Manipur at City Convention Centre Imphal, the foundation stone laying programme for the construction of new Government ITI, Noney under Enhancing Skill Development Infrastructure(ESDI) was held on Monday at Longmai Part-I, Noney through virtual mode.Â
The foundation stone for the new ITI was laid by Chief Minister, N Biren Singh along with other projects in the presence of Skill, Labour, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister, H.Dingo Singh.
The G-type ITI buildings that will be constructed include an administrative block, classroom, chowkidar’s quarter, generator set and common toilet blocks. The total project cost amounts to about 9.50 crores and targets to be completed in the next 18 months. The Manipur Tribals Development Corporation (MTDC) is the implementing agency of the project.
During the function, DC Noney, H.Guite informed that the project is aimed at catering to the different types of trades with a capacity of about 90-100 students at a time and it will have different infrastructure facilities.
Chief Engineer MTDC, Laishram Brojendro Singh; Joint Director MSSD, Soibam Ibochouba Singh; DLOs, village authority leaders and CSO leaders also took part in the function amongst others.
