Night curfew imposes along Nagaland border by Assam

The ADM, Sivasagar said movement of any person, group of persons or any vehicular traffic are prohibited during the period of night curfew.

Kohima: Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Sivasagar in Assam has reinforced night curfew from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from May 1 next for a period of 60 days.

The official sources on Friday informed that the ADM of Sivasagar in an order said night curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure to prevent occurrence of anti-social elements, extremist and unlawful activities coming across the Assam and Nagaland border in the belt of Sivasagar district.

The ADM, Sivasagar said movement of any person, group of persons or any vehicular traffic are prohibited during the period of night curfew.

However, Magistrate, Security personnel of Army, CRPF, Police and Civil Officials deployed on duty are exempted from the purview of the prohibitory order, the release said.
