Manipur beat Karnataka in Santosh Trophy

Malappuram: Manipur beat Karnataka by 3-0, securing three points in a Group-B encounter and storming into the semi-finals of the Santosh Trophy National Football Championship at Kottappadi stadium on Saturday.

Player of the match, forward Lunminlen Haokip struck a brace in the 19th and 42nd minutes and Somishon Shirak scored the third goal for the team in the 44th minute.

The remaining matches of the Group B — Services vs Odisha and Gujarat vs Karnataka on April 25 will decide the second semifinalist from the group.
