Covid: Manipur’s recovery rate improves to 98.44% Friday, positive cases down to 33

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, Manipur reported no Covid related death while four persons from the general population tested positive and two persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the four persons who tested positive, three each are from Imphal West and one from Jiribam.

Altogether, 733 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of .5 %.  

Meanwhile, two persons recovered and were discharged from home isolation but for various reasons 50 persons were reported as discharged only on Friday so the total persons discharged after reconciliation is 52 as on March 25. The recovery rate of the state now stands at 98.44 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 070 out of which 1, 34, 917 have recovered leaving 33 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on March 24, is 1,566, the cumulative number of doses administered is 27,73,924 (1st dose 15,31, 572, 2nd dose 11,77, 311) and precautionary dose 65,041.
