NSCN leader Muivah airlifted in ‘serious condition’

The 88-year-old Naga leader suddenly fell ill and was rushed to the Christian Institute of Health Science & Research, sources said.

Imphal: NSCN leader Thuingaleng Muivah was airlifted from Camp Hebron, and was rushed to a hospital in Dimapur on Friday afternoon.

The 88-year-old Naga leader suddenly fell ill and was rushed to the Christian Institute of Health Science & Research, sources said. 

Camp Hebron is the administrative and military headquarters of the Naga militant outfit and is around 35 km from Dimapur.   

Muivah is the chief negotiator for peace talks with the Indian government since 1997 when NSCN (I-M) had declared a ceasefire.
