Moscow: Russia has decided to stop the deliveries of rocket engines to the US, Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Russia’s state-owned space corporation Roscosmos, said on Thursday.

“Today, we have decided to stop deliveries to the US of the production of the Energomash Research and Production Association. Let me remind you that since about the mid-1990s, they have been quite active. First of all, these are the RD-180 engines,” Rogozin told the Rossiya 24 broadcaster.

Russia also refused to maintain the remaining 24 engines in the US, he added. In the light of the sanctions the West has imposed on Russia, the rocket and space programe of Russia will be adjusted, Rogozin said, adding that the priority will be the creation of dual-use satellites in the interests of both Roskosmos and the Russian Ministry of Defence.
