Imphal: Though three persons died due to Covid related complications, just 42 persons were infected with the virus out of a total of 1,478 for a much improved positivity rate of 2.8 while 92 persons recovered In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East, Imphal West and Tamenglong.
Two of the deceased persons had co-morbidities, two of them had been vaccinated with the 1st dose while one had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2104.
Of the 42 persons from the general population who tested positive, 15 are from Imphal West, 11 Imphal East, four from Bishnnupur, three from Churachandpur, two each from Thoubal and Senapati and one each from Kakching Tamenglong, Tengnoupal and Chandel.
Meanwhile, 92 persons recovered and were discharged, 70 of them from home isolation, 11 from CCCs, six JNIMS and five from RIMS.
The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.02 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 548 out of which 1, 33, 848 have recovered leaving 596 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on February 21, 2022, is 6,279, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,75, 573 (1st dose 15,01, 045, 2nd dose 11,18, 186) and precautionary dose 56,342.
