India logs 13,405 Covid cases, 235 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 13,405 new Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,28,51,929, while the death toll also increased to 5,12,344 as 235 succumbed to the disease.

On a positive note, 34,226 more people have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,21,58,510. The recovery rate stands at 98.38 per cent.

The active caseload stands at 1,81,075, the figures showed. As per the bulletin, 76.12 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 175.83 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
