Imphal: The Keithelmanbi Battalion of the Assam Rifles and the Manipur Police arrested an insurgent with the proscribed group KNF(P) in Imphal West district on Friday.
Assam Rifles official said, based on specific input, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police conducted an operation on Sunday that led to the apprehension of an insurgent with one 9mm pistol.
The apprehended insurgent and recovered weapon were handed over to Patsoi Police Station for further investigation.
