Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang highlighted the need and importance of protecting languages and announced the establishment of Karmapa Park in Martam-Rumtek.

He was addressing the Pre-Lossoong celebrations gathering at Marchek.

He felicitated the student toppers of Class X, Class XII, Bhutia language, and gold medallist from the Bhutia community.

‘The celebration of community-based religious and cultural festival will certainly strengthen communal harmony and strong unity among all,” said CM PS Tamang.

Lossing is the harvest festival of Bhutias in Sikkim.
