Drugs worth Rs 1.55 cr seized in Manipur border

Imphal: Moreh Battalion Assam Rifles on Thursday foiled cross border narcotics trafficking near T Bongmol village, Moreh and seized narcotics worth about Rs 1.55 Crores.

During border domination patrol, troops of Assam Rifles observed an individual moving suspiciously on a Kenbo bike near T Bongmol village. On thorough checking, 31000 WIY tablets were recovered from the individual.

The recovered items and individual were handed over to Moreh Police Station for further legal action, Assam Rifles official said.
