Kolhapur: Maharashtra BJP president Chandrakant Patil on Monday accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, of having failed on all fronts and demanded imposition of the President’s rule in the state.
Addressing a press conference here this evening, he charged that the state government has made many mistakes, including paper leaks of three examinations and insult of the state Governor, hence, the President’s rule be imposed in the state, he noted.
While severely criticising the state government, Patil said the manner in which the government functions, has caused confusing situations everywhere in the state and against this backdrop, MVA alliance partners should face the public by announcing mid-term elections in the state.
The cooperative sector in the country would benefit under Union Minister Amit Shah, he stressed and sought clarification from state Industry Minister Subhash Desai as to which industry from the state was migrating to Gujarat.
Taking a potshot at the Shiv Sena, the BJP chief said that if the Sena knew in advance that Devendra Fadnavis would become the next chief minister after the 2019 Assembly polls, why didn’t it oppose at that time.
