Imphal: Two persons succumbed to Covid-19, 16 persons tested positive and nine persons recovered and were discharged in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Both the persons who expired are from Imphal West, both had co-morbidities and had taken the first dose of Covid vaccine. With these two deaths, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1995.
Of the 16 persons who tested positive from the general population, eight of them are from Imphal West, six from Imphal East and one each from Churachandpur and Kakching.
Meanwhile, nine persons recovered and were discharged, five of them from home isolation, three from CCCs and one from JNIMS. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.25%.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,613 out of which 1,23,415 have recovered, leaving 203 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 17, 2021, is 4,876, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,63,050 (1st dose 13,09,736, 2nd dose 9,53,314).
