Military jet crashes in Thailand, pilot survives

The 36-year-old pilot, who suffered two broken legs and one broken arm, has been declared in stable condition, local media quoted the Royal Thai Air Force spokesperson AVM Prapas Sornchaidee as saying.

Bangkok: A military jet crashed in Thailand on Friday, with the pilot being seriously injured.

The F-5 fighter jet reportedly crashed into a training field in Lop Buri province at about 11:00 a.m. local time. While the pilot ejected from the aircraft before it hit the ground, he still got severely injured and is currently under treatment in a hospital.

The 36-year-old pilot, who suffered two broken legs and one broken arm, has been declared in stable condition, local media quoted the Royal Thai Air Force spokesperson AVM Prapas Sornchaidee as saying.

An investigation has been launched.
