Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh reported nine fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 55,269, a senior health department official said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, five more persons recovered from the ailment that took the total number of recovered cases to 54,952, in the state he said.
Of the new infections, three cases each were detected in Itanagar Capital Complex and Tawang, while West Kameng recorded two cases and Upper Subansiri one.
Four of the new cases turned out to be asymptomatic and five symptomatic.
The state tested 241 samples for COVID-19, to find the new cases, taking the cumulative figure to 11,97,965.
The Northeastern state’s active caseload currently stands at 37. Till now, 280 people of the state have succumbed to the COVID-19 infections.
More than 14.06 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to its adult populations so far. While 7.97 lakh beneficiaries have received the first dose of the vaccine, 6.09 lakh people were fully vaccinated, the official said.
