Imphal: Earthquake of magnitude 6.1 hit most parts of northeast India and some parts of Bengal today.
According to National Centre for Seismology the earthquake occurred at 05:15:38 IST, Lat: 22.77 & Long: 93.23, Depth, 12 Km about 73 km SE of Thenzawl, Mizoram.
The tremors were felt in Manipur, Mizoram, Assam and some parts of West Bengal. Bangladesh, Myanmar Bhutan and China also hit the tremor. So far there was no report of any casualty.
