Arunachal reports six new cases

Itanagar: Maintaining its declining trend, Arunachal Pradesh recorded six fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours that took its tally of confirmed cases to 55,208, a senior health official said.

On the contrary, nine persons have recuperated from the disease in the period that mounted the total number of recovered cases to 54,884, he said.

Of the new detections, Itanagar Capital Complex reported three cases, East Siang two and Tawang one.

The state’s active caseload stands at 44 comprising 0.08 per cent of the total infections, while the recovery rate has further improved to 99.41 per cent.

In Arunachal Pradesh, 280 people have fallen prey to COVID-19 infections up till now.

Meanwhile, 3678 people across the state have received COVID-19 vaccines doses during the last 24 hours which took the cumulative count of vaccine jabs administered so far to its eligible citizens to 13,49,864.

While 7,81,754 beneficiaries have taken the first dose of the vaccine, 5,68,110 people were vaccinated fully since the launch of Govt of India’s nationwide vaccination drive in January last.
