4.3-magnitude quake in Ladakh, Lahaul-Spiti region

Shimla: An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale rocked the Ladakh region along the Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, India Meteorological Department said. No report of loss of life or damage to property is reported.

The tremors were felt about 108 km away from tourist resort Manali, IMD spokesperson said. The quake was reported at 6.02 am and the epicentre was located at 33.18 degrees North and 76.88 degrees East at a depth of 10 km, about 108 km north-north-west of the Himachal resort town.

He denied any report of an earthquake in Manali though, as reported in a section of media.
