Shimla: Department of Posts, Himachal Pradesh Circle Shimla is regularly organizing Business camps and Melas in order to procure Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) with a total of over Rs. 34 Lacs as a premium through these postal life insurance policies.
Under this initiative, 79 Camps and Melas have held in recent weeks in which 382 new PLI policies and 990 RPLI policies were procured. A total premium of Rs. 15,57,439 was collected from procured PLI policies and a total premium of Rs. 18,70,252 was collected in RPLI procured policies.
Assistant Postmaster General, HP Circle Shimla, Bali Ram informed UNI that India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) is putting all its efforts to provide affordable and accessible financial services through AePS ( Aadhaar enabled payment system), CeLC ( Child enrolment lite client & Mobile linking to Aadhaar), DLC (Jeevan Praman), Life Insurance product and Digital Banking to all the citizens.
In addition, the IPPB is also conducting training and skill development programs for the end-users through online sessions on General insurance and CeLC.
Ram said that the department launched a competition on Slogan Writing, Poster Design and Calligraphy on Competition Post Cards.
The Competition started from 20th August-2021 & ends up to 2nd October 2021. The competition will be held in two categories for all citizen of India and members of Department of Posts including GDS.
