London: UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who is currently in the United States, said she had discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian the resumption of talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear deal and the release of UK citizens.

“Important meeting today with Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian,” Truss wrote on Twitter.

“I pressed two issues: I’m absolutely determined to secure the release of detained British nationals; I want to bring Iran back to the table on the nuclear deal and return to Vienna talks,” she said.
