COVID-19: Arunachal case tally nears 54k-mark

Thirty-eight of the new cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 33 symptomatic, according to a bulletin from the State Health Services Directorate here.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s COVID-19 case tally nears the 54k-mark as the frontier state has reported 71 more new cases on Wednesday.

With detection of the fresh cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases mounted to 53,943.

Lower Subansiri found the highest 19 cases, followed by Tawang 17 and Itanagar Capital Complex 13.

Thirty-eight of the new cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 33 symptomatic, according to a bulletin from the State Health Services Directorate here.

Meanwhile, 54 people have recuperated during the last 24 hours that upped the total number of recovered cases to 53,127. The State has reported 271 deaths so far.

The state’s active caseload a bit increased to 545 with 505 of them having been lodged under home isolation. The COVID recovery rate stands at 98.49 per cent, the bulletin said.
