Bokaro: A school teacher was run over and killed by a speeding bus on the Chas Bypass road of this district on Saturday.
Police said the bus driver managed to flee but was later chased and caught. The deceased Deepak Kumar was a resident of Sector One.
He was going to his home in Chas when he met with the accident.
Enraged over the incident the locals blocked traffic movement on the road for two hours demanding compensation and job for his kin.
Chas SDPO Purushottam Singh reached the spot and pacified the agitators after which the agitation was called off.
