One arrested with huge WY tablets in Manipur

WY tablets were found concealed in the fuel tank of a TATA SUMO driven by Lunkhohen Haokip on Tuesday afternoon.

Imphal:  Sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau Manipur arrested one person along with a huge WY (Methamphetamine) tablets from Ngariyan village Tuesday.

Police said the accused identified as Lunkhohen Haokip (29 years), son of Ngulsei Haokip, a resident of Boljang Village, Kangpokpi district was arrested along with one lakh WY tablets which were found concealed in the fuel tank of a TATA SUMO bearing registration number MN-02B/9715, which was driven by him on Tuesday afternoon.

One mobile handset with two SIM cards, one Aadhaar card, one Voter’s Identity card, one driving licence card, one Pan card and registration card of the Tata Sumo were also seized from him.

A case has been registered for investigation with NAB Police Station in this regard, they added.
