Imphal: After months since the onset of the second wave of Covid-19, Manipur did not report a single death due to the ongoing pandemic in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday. During the same period, with 282 new positive cases (270 general population 12 CAPF) out of a total sample of 3,539, the positivity rate also improved marginally to 8 % while 294 persons also recovered, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 270 persons (123 males, 147 females) from the general population who tested positive include 122 from Imphal West,66 from Imphal East, 27 from Ukhrul, 11 Thoubal, 10 from Bishnupur, 9 from Churachandpur, 8 from Kakching, 7 from Tamenglong, 6 from Chandel, 3 each from Kangpokpi, Pherzawl and Senapati, 2 each from Jiribam , Kamjong and Tengnoupal and 1 from Noney.
Meanwhile, 294 persons were discharged which include 95 from home isolation, 97 from CCCs, 72 from CHICs, 16 from RIMS and 14 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.71 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,15,866 (General Population – 1, 11,719, Central Security Personnel 4,147). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 10,896 (General Population – 1, 06,790, Central Security Personnel – 4,106). The number of active cases is 3,168 (General Population – 3,132, Personnel – 36).
The total number of doses administered on September 6, 2021, is 7,823 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,69,582 (1st dose 11,95,584, 2nd dose 3,73,998)
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 7 is 547 out of which 446 are general beds while 101 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 7 is 3467 out of which 695 are occupied and 2772 are vacant.
