Cumulative vaccination tally crosses 15 lakh in Manipur

The state also recorded 4 Covid related deaths, 380 positive cases (379 general population, 1 CAPF) and 352 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

Imphal: Manipur crossed 15 lakh vaccination with 15,00,385 out of which 11,80,937 is the number of persons vaccinated with the 1st dose while 5,19,448 have taken their 2nd dose of the vaccine as on August 25.

The state also recorded 4 Covid related deaths, 380 positive cases (379 general population, 1 CAPF) and 352 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 4 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East, Imphal West, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state with these 4 deaths now stands at 1,767.

Two of those who succumbed had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated.

The 379 persons (187 males, 192 females) from the general population who tested positive include 144 from Imphal West, 82 from Imphal East, 40 from Ukhrul, 25 from Bishnupur, 20 each from Tamenglong and Thoubal, 14 from Churachandpur, 10 each from Kakching and Kamjong, 7 from Senapati, 6 from Kangpokpi1 each from Jiribam and Pherzawl.

Altogether, a total of 3,206 persons were tested accounting for a positivity rate of 11.2 % in the state on Thursday.

 Meanwhile, 352 persons were discharged which include 120 from home isolation, 83 from CHICs, 86 from CCCs, 40 from JNIMS and 23 from RIMS.

The recovery rate in the state further improves to 95.25 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,12,355 (General Population – 1, 08,256, Central Security Personnel – 4,099). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 06,992 (General Population – 1, 02,921, Central Security Personnel – 4,071). The number of active cases is 3,596 (General Population – 3,573, Personnel – 23).

The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as on August 26, is 457 which include 376 general beds and 81 ICU/HDU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on August 25 is 3547 out of which 780 are occupied and 2763 are vacant.
