Imphal: Manipur registered 4 Covid related deaths, 386 positive cases (385 general population, 1CAPF) and 478 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
Of the 4 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, 2 are from Imphal West and 1 each from Chandel and Imphal East. The cumulative death toll in the state with these 4 deaths now stands at 1,759.
Two of those who succumbed had co-morbidities while one of them had been vaccinated with the 1st dose.
The 385 persons (187 males, 198 females) from the general population who tested positive include 153 from Imphal West, 59 from Imphal East, 50 from Churachandpur, 30 from Kakching, 21 from Pherzawl, 15 from Thoubal, 14 each from Tamenglong and Ukhrul, 9 from Senapati, 8 from Bishnupur, 5 from Chandel, 4 from Kamjong and 2 each from Kangpokpi and Noney.
Altogether, a total of 3,525 persons were tested accounting for a positivity rate of 11.0 % in the state on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 478 persons were discharged which include 198 from home isolation, 112 from CHICs, 152 from CCCs, 12 from JNIMS and 2 from RIMS.
The recovery rate in the state further improves to 95.18 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,11,598 (General Population – 1, 07,507, Central Security Personnel – 4,091). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 06,229 (General Population – 1, 02,166, Central Security Personnel – 4,063). The number of active cases is 3,610(General Population – 3,587, Personnel – 23).
Altogether, 7,561 persons were vaccinated on August 23, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 14, 88,264 (1st dose 11,78,292, 2nd dose 3,03,972).
The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as on August 24, is 426 which include 143 general beds and 83 ICU/HDU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state is 3547 out of which 802 are occupied and 2745 are vacant.
