Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland yesterday decreased to 64 new cases, which increased the total number of COVID -19 cases to 28,875 and with more six more death toll rose to 591.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 102 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from nine districts of Nagaland with 22 cases in Dimapur, 15 cases in Mokokchung, eight in Kohima, five in Longleng and five in Wokha, four in Mon, three in Zunheboto and two in Tuensang, out of total 2,269 samples testing positive for COVID-19, the State registered a low positivity rate of 2.40 %, taking the total caseload to 28875.
On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, the recovery patients saw a rise with 78 new recoveries reported 32 patients from Kohima, 16 patients from Dimapur, 13 from Mokokchung, six from Mon, five from Kiphire, three from Longleng and three from Tuensang. With these the total recoveries rose to 26,101 and the recovery rate is 90.39%.
There are 1,351 active COVID-19 cases in the State at present, out of which, 74 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 1,188 are under home isolation. Nagaland has a total 1351 active cases, out of them 1,083 patients are asymptotic, 206 are with mild symptom, 25 are moderate with oxygen, 18 are severe with oxygen, four are critical in ICU without ventilator and nine are in ICU with ventilator.
With six more patients succumbed to the pandemic, three in Kohima, two in Dimapur and one in Tuensang, the death toll touched to 591 now.
