Nagaland records 102 new COVID positive cases

With no more patients succumbed to virus infection the death toll remain static at 585, the bulletin said.

Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland Tuesday increased to 102 new cases, which increased the total number of COVID -19 cases to 28,811 and the death toll remain static at 585.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 102 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from nine districts of Nagaland with 40 cases in Kohima, 27 cases in Dimapur, 15 in Mokokchung, six in Tuensang, five in Wokha, four in Longleng, three in Zunheboto, one in Peren and one in Phek, taking the total caseload to 28811. The COVID-19 positivity rate of Nagaland was at 4.75% on August 10.

On the recovery of COVID-19 patients, altogether 117 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, taking to total recovery to 26,023 people. Nagaland has a total of 1374 active cases, out of them 1106 patients are asymptotic, 211 are with the mild symptom, 23 are moderate with oxygen, 18 are severe with oxygen, six are critical in ICU without ventilator and 10 are in ICU with ventilator. Out of 1,374 active COVID-19 cases in the State at present, out of which, 80 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 1,197 are under home isolation.
