Imphal: For the second consecutive day, Manipur’s positive cases at 508, was below the 600 mark but the death toll at 12 once again crossed double figure. The last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Thursday also saw 578 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 12 persons who succumbed to Covid-19 on Thursday include 3 from Imphal East, 2 each from Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching and 1 each from Imphal West Jiribam and Churachandpur. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1162.
The 508 positive cases include 8 personnel of the Central Armed Police4 Force (CAPF) while 500 persons (253 males, 247 females) are from the general population. 198 of those who tested positive from the general population are from Imphal West, 116 from Imphal East, 42 from Kakching, 38 from Bishnupur, 39 from Churachandpur, 28 from Thoubal, 13 from Ukhrul, 11 from Tamenglong, 7 each from Chandel and Kangpokpi, 3 from Senapati and 1 each from Tengnoupal, Jiribam and Noney.
Meanwhile, 578 persons recovered and were discharged, which include 251 from Home isolation, 188 from CHICs, 117 from CCCs, 13 from RIMS and 9 from JNIMS.. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 89.91%
The cumulative number of positive cases is 70,298(General Population – 66,455 and Central Security Personnel – 3,843). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 63,206 (General Population – 59,428 and Central Security Personnel – 3,778). The number of active cases is 5,930 (General Population – 5,870 and Central Security Personnel – 60).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1495 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 439 B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 439 D type 87 B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (107 D, 0 B), Chandel (33 D, 8 B), Churachandpur (63 D, 12 B), Senapati (46 D, 0 B), Thoubal (47 D, 27 B), Ukhrul (25 D , 15B), Tamenglong (32 D, 0 B), Jiribam (43 D, 12 B), Moreh (12 D, 7 B), Kamjong (3 D, 1 B), Kakching (18 D, 15 B), Noney (2 D, 0 B) and Pherzawl (6 D, 2 B). CCCs have 326 D and 103 B filled oxygen cylinders available Thursday.
As per latest information, 18,993 persons were vaccinated on June 30, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 6,66,625 (1st dose 5,82,280, 2nd dose 84,345).
