Sikkim reports 287 new covid cases, three die

Gangtok: Sikkim reported 287 new coronavirus cases, raising the active number of cases to 4,040. Out of a cumulative 17,943 cases, so far 13,378 have been recovered.

The death toll also mounted to 279 after 3 more succumbed to the virus in the past day, said Sonam Bhutia, Information, Education and Communication Officer, Health Department.

However, the positivity rate now stands at 12.6 pc and the recovery rate stands at 74.5%.
