Arunachal Covid-19 tally crosses 25K mark; death toll mounts to 104

Itanagar: As many 429 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 25,002, while the death toll rose to 104 as two more succumbed to the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 103, followed by Tawang 49 and Lower Subansiri 42, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 156, all the patients are asymptomatic.

According to the bulletin, of the two casualties, a 60-year-old man from Karsinga expired on Tuesday at Dedicated Covid Hospital (DCH), Chimpu here, while a 55-year-old man who was under home isolation died on May 23 at his residence at Duchok village in Upper Subansiri district.

On the other hand, 230 patients were discharged following their recovery from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 21,575. Active cases stood at 3,323.
