Manipur records 644 COVID-19 cases, 11 deaths

With the fresh infections, the active cases have reached 6904, and the death toll at 646.

Imphal: Manipur registered 644 cases of COVID-19 and 11 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Thursday.

With the fresh infections, the active cases have reached 6904, and the death toll at 646.  

The cumulative number of recovered cases is 34,359 (General Population – 30,794 and Central Security Personnel – 3,565). The recovery rate stood at 81.98 %, which is almost the same with yesterday.

Eleven persons aged 48 years (male, Imphal West), 33 years (male, Imphal East), 34 years (female, Churachandpur), 78 years (male, Imphal West), 43 years (male, Imphal West), 85 years (male, Imphal West), 60 years (female, Imphal East), 57 years (female, Imphal West), 65 years (female, Imphal West), 42 years (male, Imphal East) and 58 years (female, Imphal West) expired at Babina (1), Shija Hospital (1), DH Churachandpur (1), RIMS (5) and JNIMS (3) hospital respectively.

The health bulletin said a total of 1367 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 571 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. As per latest information, the total number of persons being vaccinated is 331631.

Meanwhile, Air passengers who travelled to the State on 19th May, 2021 by Air India AI-889 in rows 15-21 are advised to immediately inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (050) for further surveillance and necessary testing.
