Imphal: in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, 98 persons from the general population tested positive in Manipur. During the same period, 73 persons recovered and were discharged and no Covid-related death was reported, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 98 persons who tested positive, 42 are from Imphal West, 12 each from Imphal East and Thoubal, nine each from Churachandpur, and Bishnupur, five from Kakching, three from Chandel, two each from Kangpokpi and Tamenglong and one each from Jiribam, Senapati and Ukhrul. Altogether, 724 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 13.5 %.
Meanwhile, 73 persons recovered and were discharged: 57 from home isolation, eight from JNIMS and four each from RIMS and SHRI. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.03 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 38, 984 out of which 1, 36,240 have recovered leaving 615 active cases in the state.
As of July 28, 2022, 106 D-type oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 29, 2022, are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 22 are occupied and 16 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 38 are occupied and 24 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on July 28 is 6,988 the cumulative number of doses administered is 30,96,213 (1st dose 16,12,607, 2nd dose 12,85,097) and the precautionary dose is 1,98,509.
