Imphal: Eight Manipur Police officers have been awarded different categories of President’s Police medals ahead of the 76th Republic Day, a statement of the State Home Department said here on Saturday.
Of them one officer has been conferred with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and seven for Meritorious Service, it added.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (CID) Sorokhaibam Rudranarayan Singh, MPS, has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished service.
Laishram Chaoba Singh, Inspector of CID (SB); Naorem Seilendra Singh, Jamadar, Ist IRB; Sorokhaibam Santosh Singh, Sub Inspector of Imphal West; Khaidem Chandra Singh, Jamadar of Manipur Police Training Centre; Lenpu Kom, Havildar of 4th IRB; Lamthianson Chongloi, Rifleman of 1st IRB and Athokpam Tej Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector of Imphal West have been chosen for their Distinguished service.
