2nd round of polling personnel training for Imphal West begins

Imphal: The Second Round Training of all Polling Personnel for Imphal West commenced today at eight different training centers, namely – D.M. College of Teacher Education (Northern and Southern Hall); D.M. College of Commerce – central hall; N.G. College – central hall; Government Polytechnic Takyelpat – centenary hall; Imphal College – auditorium hall; Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Lamphelpat and GP Women’s College – central hall. 

During this training, the responsibilities of each Polling Personnel were outlined, including familiarizing with election equipment, understanding the process of submitting periodic reports, preventing fraudulent activities (such as casting multiple votes), and emphasizing the importance of using indelible ink, among others. 

The training was given to the personnel by Ayam Suraj Singh (SDC Lilong Chajing – Langthabal); Aribam Devkishower Sharma (AERO – Naoriya Pakhanglakpa); Yumnam Dhanendra Singh (SDC Central-I); Salam Padmapati (ARO – 12 Keishamthong, 13 Singjamei); Madan Gopal Laishram (ARO – 16 – Sekmai, 17 – Lamsang); Moirangthem Ranjita Devi (SDC/BO Imphal West), among others. 

The authorities emphasized the importance of attending training sessions diligently to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024.

Polling officials must adhere to rules and regulations while performing their duties; should maintain vigilance and stay connected with the Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and other relevant officials for any election-related queries or issues.
