New Delhi:Presidents of 23 like-minded parties have been invited so far by Congress president Mallikaarjun Kharge to join the concluding function of the Bharat Jodo Yatra which is scheduled to be held in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar later this month, a senior party leader said here on Friday.
Among the chiefs of parties to whom the Congress president has written a letter include TMC, Janata Dal (United) , Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Janata Dal (Secular), as per a list issued by the Congress.
” Bharat Jodo Yatra Gandhi will enter into Jammu and Kashmir on January 19, ” Congress general secretary in-charge Communications Jairam Ramesh said while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here.
In response to a question, the senior party leader that invitation have not been sent to Aam Aadmi Party and Bharatiya Rashtriya Samiti so far.
The concluding function of the Bharat Jodo Yatra-led by MP Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to be held in Srinagar on January 30.
