Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Monday, Manipur recorded 15 deaths, 598 new positive3 cases and 783 recoveries as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 15 persons who succumbed to Covid-19 on Sunday include 6 from Imphal East, 4 from Imphal West and 1 each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 896.
Of the 598 persons (292 males, 306 females) who tested positive from the general population, 202 are from Imphal West, 117 from Imphal East, 83 from Churachandpur, 72 from Thoubal, 54 from Bishnupur, 26 from Kakching, 14 from Jiribam, 7 from Tengnoupal, 6 from Chandel, 5 each from Tamenglong and Kangpokpi, 4 from Seanapti and 1 each Kamjong, Ukhrul and Noney.
Meanwhile, 783 persons recovered which include 555 from home isolation, 198 from other Covid Care facilities, 19 from JNIMS and 11 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 82.30%
The cumulative number of positive cases is 55,828 (General Population – 52,061 and Central Security Personnel – 3,767). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 45,948 (General Population – 42,191 and Central Security Personnel – 3,757). The number of active cases it 8,948(General Population – 8,974 and Central Security Personnel – 5).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1310D type Oxygen Cylinders and 462B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 380D type and 71B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (73D, 4B), Chandel (32D, 7B), Churachandpur (72D, 0B), Senapati (32D, 0B), Thoubal (39D, 18B), Ukhrul (21D, 0B), Tamenglong (30D, 5B), Jiribam (36D, 10B), Moreh (18D, 5B), Kamjong (3D, 1B), Kangpokpi (3D, 1B), Kakching (13D, 19B), Noney (2D, 0B) and Perzawl(6D, 2B).
As per the latest information, the total number of persons vaccinated is 4, 23,072, the release added.
