Imphal: In the last 24-hour leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, two persons succumbed to Covid-19, 102 persons (100 general population, two CAPF) tested positive and 131 persons recovered and were discharged in Manipur, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The two deceased persons were Imphal East and Senapati. Both of them had co-morbidities and both of them had been vaccinated with the 2nd dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2086.
Of the 100 persons from the general population who tested positive, 40 are from Imphal West, 21 Imphal East, 15 from Bishnupur, eight from Ukhrul, four from Kakching, three each from Thoubal and Churachandpur, Two each from Kangpokpi and Senapati and one from Tengnoupal and Chandel. Altogether 1,815 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 5.6 %
Meanwhile, 131 persons recovered and were discharged, 99 from home isolation, 17 from CCCs, nine from JNIMS and six from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 96.87 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 032 out of which 1, 31, 768 have recovered, leaving 2,178 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on February 14, 2022, is 5,721, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,37, 445 (1st dose 14,87, 455, 2nd dose 10,98, 960) and precautionary dose 51,030.
