Imphal:In total there are three child care homes in Tamenglong. Out of the three child care homes, The Touching Ministry Orphanage is being run by Dr Araim Gangmei, Pastor of Church In Tamenglong. There are a total of 20 children, including 10 girls, 10 boys and 02 kids below six years of age residing in the orphanage.
Tamenglong battalion under the aegis of 22 Sector/ IGAR(East) organised a visit to the orphanage to bring simles on the faces of less privileged children and to foster brotherhood, inculcate feeling of oneness. Commandant, his family, and personnel from Tamenglong battalion reached out to children in need of care and protection and extended greetings to all and motivated the children towards importance of education and games in developing the overall balanced personality. Various books, stationary, toys as a token of love from their elder brothers and sisters in Assam Rifles were extended. The happy and cheerful faces of these kids further lightened
the environment.
Commandant congratulated the staff of the orphanage for the noble cause they are working for & motivated children to work hard for achieving success in their life.
