Imphal: Manipur government on Friday launched the ‘Manipur e-Budget’ application. This was developed by a team of NIC Manipur.
In the Vote-on-account Budget in March 2022 the State Government introduced the ‘e-Budget’ in the State Legislative Assembly to reduce the printing of physical budget documents. The budget documents were also made available on the State Government Website.
State Information Department official said in a statement that the ‘Manipur e-Budget’ application was launched to make the budget documents more accessible. State Budget documents can be accessed by Legislators, officials, and the general public. From this year, the printing of bulky
budget documents was also done away with. It will save time, cost, and manpower.
As of date, the budget documents available on the application were from the Vote-on-account Budget in March 2022. The Budget documents to be placed in the upcoming Assembly on July 25, will be made available after the budget speech on July 25 next.
The ‘e-Budget’ application will be available on https://ebudgetmanipur.mn.gov.in
